LA Chefs Win Big at 2016 James Beard Awards

If anyone was having doubts about LA’s dining scene being a force to be reckoned with, doubt no more.  This year’s James Beard Awards, the Oscars of the American food world, prove that the chef talent in LA is sturdy and growing at an impressive pace.  Winners included Suzanne Goin (Lucques) for Outstanding Chef, Dahlia Narvaez (Mozza) for Outstanding Pastry Chef and Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo (Animal, Son of a Gun, Jon & Vinny’s) for Best Chef of the West. 

These restaurants and many others have come to define the creativity and quality that LA has to offer diners.  As a culinary school, we have great appreciation of the enormous amount of talent that surrounds us in LA.  We know that our students have the opportunity to work with the best and that is a great feeling.
